Salt
Grammar School
In December 2006 Salts Sports Association and
Salt Grammar School engaged in a long term joint
sports development plan. The 1,400 children at
Salt Grammar are utilising the facilities at Salts
Sports Association for the next 3 years whilst
a new school and sports facilities are built on
the existing schools playing fields. Long-term
the school and sports association have agreed
a joint development plan that will see the school
children (growing to 1,500 with the new school)
all become junior members of the sports association,
and the sports association having access to the
schools sports facilities. Salts Tennis Club are
currently providing a tennis coaching and competitive
play program for a number of tennis players at
the school. Our thanks go to Sue Mansfield (Head
Teacher), and Sue Foster (Extended Schools Development
